• Prior to your first appointment with Dr Hannah Sylvester you will be provided with a schedule of fees or you may wish to phone and discuss the fees at any time with our reception staff. 
• All outpatient appointments have an out-of-pocket fee which must be paid for on the day, this is not covered by your private health fund but is partly refunded by Medicare. 
• There will be an out-of-pocket fee payable for ultrasounds performed outside of Dr Sylvester’s rooms, however, this is dependent on which provider you choose. 

• At 28 weeks a pregnancy management fee is charged by all private obstetricians. This is to cover the cost of providing a 24 hour on-call service for you in the case of an emergency or due to the unpredictable nature of obstetrics if you require attendance out of normal hours. This also provides for the support staff involved in your care and the liability insurances required by Dr Sylvester to be able to care for you. 
• Your inpatient stay and delivery fee is covered by your private health care fund. Dr Sylvester is a no-gap provider for many major health funds, however, you may want to confirm that your fund will cover your care prior to booking. Your delivery may incur other costs such as anaesthetic or neonatal services which you will be billed for separately by these providers.
